The outstanding achievements of some of our elite athletes at the recently concluded Commonwealth Games and the Pan Am Elite Track Cycling Championships are being celebrated this week in events being hosted by the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, in collaboration with the National Sports Council, and the Barbados Olympic Association.

Sada Williams, Shane Brathwaite, Jonathan Jones and Amber Joseph have all delivered excellent performances. Ms. Williams’ achievements have been of such a high standard that she has, over the last few weeks, been invited to participate in a number of track meets. She is now available to return home and join her family and colleagues and truly celebrate her success and the successes of all our athletes.
