The Department of Health in Jamaica has reported the latest positive case of monkeypox which is a man from Kingston and St. Andrew.
This is the fifth case on the island.
In total, three patients are in home quarantine, and two infected have recovered.
All confirmed cases are men between the ages of 25 and 52.
In its August 28 update, the ministry said that of the cases reported locally so far, two were in Clarendon and one each in St. Elizabeth, St. James, Kingston and St. Andrew.
Two of the confirmed cases of monkeypox were imported and three were local.
A total of 16 tests for the disease were carried out locally, according to the ministry.
